Description
Tanklager is a free typeface inspired by a quirky hand-painted sign on an oil tank in Visp, Switzerland. It combines DIN and grotesk styles, with unique features like inconsistent letter structures and exaggerated shapes. The diacritics are highly geometric and playful. Tanklager was first featured in the 9th issue of Jef Klak, a review focused on ingestion and digestion. The typeface comes in two versions: Original, which matches the width of the sign, and Kompakt, which is more condensed for titles.
