Departure Mono is a free font that brings a lo-fi technical vibe through its monospaced pixel design, inspired by the constraints of early command-line and graphical user interfaces, the tiny pixel fonts of the early 2000s, and sci-fi aesthetics from films and television. This font can be displayed crisply even at very small sizes, but for a pixel-perfect display, Helena Zhang, the font designer, recommends setting the font size to increments of 11px, such as 11px, 22px, 33px, etc. She also suggests adjusting the letter spacing for optimal visual clarity if necessary.
